Robert-Jan Temmink QC was called to the Bar in 1996 and took silk in 2017. He is a talented advocate with a broad commercial practice including aviation, shipping, energy, construction and insurance law. Many of Robert’s cases involve cross-border or other jurisdictional issues both in the UK and overseas. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Registered Arbitrator at EMAC, CIAB, HKIAC, KLRCA and TECBAR. He has appeared in a wide variety of arbitral proceedings under different institutions’ rules and as sole arbitrator in ICC proceedings.

Robert brings his wealth of experience and technical knowledge of arbitral proceedings to IAA, developing trainees with his style of “assured advocacy” that has earned him the rank of leading barrister in both Chambers UK and The Legal 500.
